Three days in a row – the opening of three exhibitions of contemporary Finnish art!

In the first week of February in St. Petersburg will open three wonderful exhibitions of contemporary art: “The soul of stone” at the Institute of Finland, “Arctic Hysteria” in a joint exhibition Rosfoto and three Finnish photographers in the Vladimir Palace.

OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION “THE SOUL STONE”
Museum of South Karelia, Saimaa University of Applied Sciences and company Kalevala Koru present a joint exhibition project “Spirit Stone”, which affects the myths and mysteries associated with representations of human stone. Multifaceted and unusual objects, which can be seen at the exhibition, designed to show the stone, not only as a wonderful natural material for conceptual jewelry, but also inspired a subject endowed with sacred meaning.

ARCTIC HYSTERIA: CONTEMPORARY ART OF FINLAND
The exhibition “Arctic Hysteria”, organized by ROSPHOTO Association of Artists of Finland, St. Petersburg will introduce viewers to the art of modern Finnish. The exhibition includes works by authors working in the genres of photography, audio and video installations. The curators of “arctic hysteria” was first presented his concept to the public in 2008 at the Center for Contemporary Art at PS 1 Museum MoMA in New York. The exhibition at ROSPHOTO viewer will see the development of this idea and to get acquainted with the works that have not previously exhibited in the project.

JOINT EXHIBITION OF THREE PHOTOGRAPHERS FINNISH
